Alerts.com Releases Free Messaging And Emergency Notification Alert System For Schools

San Diego, CA - Alerts.com a free online alerts service designed to help consumers save time and money by creating, managing and controlling how they receive information, announced during the company's presentation at DEMOfall 08 the launch of its school alert notification and interactive message platform, MySchoolAlerts.

The MySchoolAlerts platform helps improve communications with parents, teachers, staff and students allowing a school to send real-time messages and alerts regarding news and emergencies to any users' configured delivery methods including e-mail, text message, voice, desktop and widgets.

The new platform is also one of the core offerings behind the Safety 1st program launching nationwide this fall. Safety 1st is an effort between i- SAFE, the worldwide leader in e-Safety education, American Income Life Insurance Company, the developer of the Child Safe Kit which has been endorsed by the International Union of Police Associations, and Alerts.com. The new program aims to promote a safer environment for kids by focusing on three core pillars; education, protection and notification.

There is no hardware to install, software to download or maintenance needed. Schools prepare their messages online, preview them and click to send. Alerts.com platform routes school messages exactly how opted-in users requested to receive the messages: email, text message, voice, desktop, widgets and more. The Alerts.com messaging platform can handle sending millions of messages.

When opting-in to participate in MySchoolAlerts, parents can also add other alerts to their personal accounts including, child safety alerts, severe weather alerts, or personal alerts such as gas price alerts.
