Janet Skinner's New Book Teaches Readers ‘The A, B, C's Of Parenting'

Author utilizes extensive experience to bring readers comprehensive guide to parenting

STERLING, Va. (PRWEB) - Author, parent and educator of children, Janet Skinner, has been parenting and educating children for over 33 years. Using her experience as her foundation, she confidently believes that parenting is the most important profession a person will ever have.

Skinner now invites expecting and current parents to draw from her vast knowledge in her new parenting book“The A, B, C’s of Parenting” (published by WestBow Press), a guide that serves as a blueprint of principles for developing children who will do good in the world.

Skinner believes there is little sense in spending so much time studying for childbirth, which she compares to a job, and not spending as much time on the actual act of parenting, which she calls a profession. In “The A, B, C’s of Parenting,” she gives parents the tools to raise children using biblical and core values that will hopefully result in productive and morally upstanding citizens.

Throughout her book, Skinner backs up every point with suggested verses from the Bible and with stories and experiences from her own life. She hopes that her advice will help parents think more critically about the profession of parenting and help them become stronger parents, raising stronger children.

“There is a lot of pressure on parents to give up many of the core values with which their ancestors were raised,” Skinner says. “I hope to teach today’s parents that there are many timeless principles which, if followed, will truly make a difference in this society, one child at a time.”

Janet Skinner is an educator with over 30 years of experience as a public and private classroom teacher, director and regional director of La Petite Academy and director of Kids Under Construction Preschool – a Christian preschool. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and a master’s degree in early childhood education from Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri. She lives with her husband in Potomac Falls, Virginia, and currently teaches language arts to middle school students at County Christian School, a private Christian school in Ashburn, Virginia.
