Chicago, IL (PRWEB) - Every year, technology and innovation advances more rapidly, making it hard to follow all the newest inventions and latest trends. Educators are tapping into their intellectual energy day after day to keep up, that’s why HI-TEC is so valued in academia. HI-TEC provides the brightest, most innovative scientific disciplines and technologies all under one roof.

Community college, university and high school educators will be gathering July 21-24 at the annual High Impact Technology Exchange Conference (HI-TEC) at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Downtown Chicago.

“HI-TEC is amazing! If educators want to learn the best practices of anything related to career and technology education, then HI-TEC is the best place to be,” says Ryen Nagle, Dean of Science, Business and Computer Technology at Moraine Valley Community College.

HI-TEC is a national conference on advanced technological education. This conference focuses on the preparation needed by the existing and future workforce for high-technology industries that drive the U.S. economy. This highly regarded conference not only educates America’s technical educators and employees, but also updates their knowledge and skills for the future.

HI-TEC strongly supports the mission of the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program to strengthen the skills of educators and technicians whose work is vitally important to the nation’s prosperity and security. These are the top 5 reasons why educators need to attend HI-TEC 2014:

  1. A birds-eye view of innovation in high technology education. If colleges, universities or high schools are looking to develop any new programs; HI-TEC 2014 will have it!
  2. Invaluable advice from successful educators, technicians and faculty.
  3. Inspiration about what direction technology education is headed and how not to miss the boat.
  4. Hands-on accessibility to the latest and greatest trends in high technology education.
  5. Some of the best industry site tours around.

Educators have the option at HI-TEC 2014 to choose from 18 pre-conference workshops and four industry site tours during the first two days, followed by the two-day main conference, which will feature keynote speakers and almost 70 breakout sessions. In addition, there will also be an awards luncheon and exhibit hall with door prizes, an exhibitor reception and much more.

HI-TEC 2014 is a very exciting time not only for educators, but also for counselors, technicians, industry professionals, trade organizations and workforce development advocates.
