Cdigix Unveils C-Labs: Faculty Edition, Giving Faculty Members Direct Access To Next Generation Digital Media Platform

Seattle,WA - Cdigix, Inc., one of the leading providers of digital educational services to the college marketplace, recently unveiled its new C-Labs: Faculty Edition product. Individual faculty members at universities nationwide now have direct access to this groundbreaking digital education tool which incorporates rich audio and video media into classroom study in an easy and hassle-free way. Currently in beta, the product is available for immediate access at www.cdigix.com.

Teaching professionals using C-Labs: Faculty Edition may choose to post audio or video media onto the platform or utilize the product's demonstration module, a real-world teaching experience that offers access to more than 120 pieces of pre-existing content, illustrating the power of the delivery platform. The course-critical content is then distributed in a secure manner to students who are using both PCs and Macs. The product also offers podcasting capabilities, allowing campus-produced content, such as lectures, to be posted in non-encrypted audio and video formats and then played back on a student's computer or transferred to a portable device such as an iPod.

Access to C-Labs: Faculty Edition is available on an individual basis, putting next generation teaching capabilities directly in the hands of progressive educators. Faculty members can also work directly with Cdigix for media procurement from its library exceeding 120,000 titles, content encoding and encryption, customer support, student authentication and other user needs.

To help mark the launch of C-Labs: Faculty Edition, Cdigix will post up to five pieces of audio or video content at no charge to new faculty customers who sign up. Additional content may be uploaded for a nominal fee.

"The creation of C-Labs: Faculty Edition was born out of numerous conversations we've had with educators who want to be individually empowered to incorporate rich audio and video into their coursework," said Mark Brodsky, Vice President of University Sales at Cdigix, Inc. "We are pleased that we were able to respond quickly by making this direct, turn-key solution available for individual faculty use as soon as this fall and allowing free access to up to five pieces of content."

C-Labs: Faculty Edition, a self-service product designed for faculty, is the companion to the company's full campus solution, C-Labs: Enterprise Edition. The enterprise edition allows librarians and on-campus IT experts to post and maintain an online reserve of university-owned digital media that can be shared across all departments and disciplines. C-Labs: Enterprise Edition also integrates with many other premier campus applications, such as the Blackboard Building Blocks open architecture initiative.
