About Us

ACE Software Inc. means experience, tenure, and innovation. ACE Software got its start as the natural outgrowth of an existing company: the Accounting Consultant for Education Corporation. ACE Software Inc. filed its incorporation papers in November 1977.

The first "official" ACE Software customer -- and still a customer -- was Licking Valley Schools in Newark, Ohio, with ACE's first application, a school payroll package.

Through the 1980s, ACE Software developed a broad range of school administrative software for a number of different platforms. One of the stronger packages was on the HP MPE operating system.

In late 1995, ACE branched out with a new approach to school management software: a relational database in a client/server environment. After considering options, ACE selected Unidata -- now a part of Informix -- for its relational database and 4GL tools.

In early 1996, Ace unveiled plans for ADM-2000 which will provide for an optional graphical user interface, a relational database and a wide array of system administration benefits. ADM-2000 is designed to extend the "open system" concept because it allows for substantial customization by the school district. West Clermont Local Schools near Cincinnati was the first installation for ADM-2000.

Since that initial rollout, ADM-2000 has been installed by districts both large and small throughout the United States.
