About Us

Achieva.com, founded in 1996 and headquartered in San Mateo, California, is the only comprehensive online college prep service for middle and high school students. Achieva's online courses provide students with the strategies and tools they need to improve academic performance and standardized test scores, and to gain acceptance to college.

Our Mission
The mission of Achieva is to partner with schools to ensure students' academic success--especially those who are at risk and underserved--and to help them successfully prepare for and enter college.

Achieva shares a central, common goal with schools: to prepare students for successful, lifelong learning. To attain that goal, Achieva works in tandem with educators and guidance counselors to:

Close the achievement gap by raising the academic performance of all students.
Achieva's online test prep and study skills courses teach students test-taking strategies and academic approaches to enhance their performance in all areas.

Bridge the digital divide by making technology-based learning available to all students.
Internet-delivered content provides an affordable, anywhere, anytime learning solution that students enjoy. Because Achieva's courses are entirely online, students learn valuable computer skills as they access Achieva at school, in libraries, at home, etc.

Support accountability through measurable results.
Achieva courses provide pretest and posttest results to help students pace themselves and monitor progress. The administrative reporting feature allows educators to monitor student progress as well, which helps educators manage and ensure the best results for individual students.

Provide standards-based content.
Achieva's Curriculum Team ensures that course content correlates to national standards, so teachers know that what students are learning is consistent with standards-based, classroom curricula.
