Ethical Issues in Professional Life addresses issues of professionals in medicine, law, business, engineering, journalism and media, public administration, accounting, social work and science — among others. The series presents a framework for analyzing many ethical issues, problems and dilemmas facing contemporary professionals. It consists of fourteen, 30-minute programs and accompanying student text.

Case studies are used extensively to illustrate ethical points. Studies include Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, Karen Quinlan right-to-die case, Watergate break-in of Democratic headquarters, and more. For balance, perspectives on each case study are supplied by the ethicist, the working professional, and the whistle-blower. Institutional concerns are presented by law enforcement, granting agencies, professional associations, and educational representatives.
