Elevate K-12 Launches Special Education Live Teaching Solution Amid Teacher Shortage

The rapidly growing livestream learning program offers a solution for a worsening crisis in the most high-need classrooms.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) - As schools, students, and parents across the country continue to contend with a dire teacher shortage, Elevate K-12 has emerged as the go-to solution for school districts across the country. The Chicago-based instruction-technology company has brought more than 1,000 certified teachers to more than 200 U.S. schools through its cutting-edge live-streaming platform. Recently, the company announced it is expanding its services to address the academic segment in the most urgent need of support: special education.

“The teacher shortage disproportionately affects special education classes because those are some of the most difficult classes to teach and educators in that field are prone to burn-out,” said Shaily Baranwal, Elevate K-12’s CEO and founder. “Our platform was designed to provide a solution by giving classrooms anywhere and everywhere in the world access to the highest quality educators, and nowhere is that more important than in special education.”

Elevate K-12 brings passionate, engaging live teachers to classrooms around the world, including smaller, underserved markets that struggle to find and retain educators. The brand’s tech-enabled services include a proprietary live instructional management technology called Elevate Live®, a live-instruction service, curriculum, and a classroom management platform that provides the necessary tools for collaborative teaching and learning to emulate the experience of a real, physical classroom.

As Elevate K-12 rolls out its special-education live-teaching program, the company is offering the service first to its existing partner districts before promoting it to new markets.

“We are introducing this as a pilot program for our existing partners first because we know their needs and they know the value of our service,” said Baranwal. “The beauty of our platform is that we can customize it to meet the needs of any district, but understanding those needs requires a fully realized relationship and a lot of communication.”

Why is Elevate K-12 rolling out special education live teaching now? According to Baranwal, the company was always eager to address that segment but was adamant about waiting until its platform was delivering rock-solid results before introducing it to special-needs students.

“We waited until we were more than sure that we were ready,” said Baranwal. “We took our time to make sure we fully understood what the needs of these classrooms are and our ability to meet those needs. Now, we have the tools, and we understand the need, so we are working with our partner districts to put the pilot into action.”
