Keyboarding Made Easy® For Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades is self-contained on CD-ROM. The software is user-friendly with easy-to-follow instructions that lead and guide learners through each lesson.

• The Teaching and Learning Concepts of this program are the same for both programs. However, the lessons in this elementary program are shorter and are suited for 3rd, 4th
• Each class begins with a short warm-up, the regular lesson, and a brief reinforcement practice exercise at the end. Class activities for elementary students change every 5 to 8 minutes for relaxation and to prevent stress. Supplementary material is included in the program should your class periods be longer than 30 minutes.

Keyboarding Made Easy® for 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades consists of 30 thirty-minute lessons presented in two parts.

Part 1 teaches the alphabetic keyboard, the basic techniques for keyboarding and develops speed to 10-14 words a minute. Student progress is measured at the end of each lesson.

Part 2 is designed to increase keyboarding speed using a programmed pacing method. There are 13 lessons to develop the student's speed rate to 30 words a minute. Student progress is measured at the end of each lesson. One-minute timings are at the end of each lesson beginning with Lesson 5 and continue through each lesson for students to measure their speed with accuracy as they move through the program. Gross words with errors are computed and shown at the end of each timing. Two-minute timings are also a part of the program to aid students to extend their keyboarding speed from one-minute to two-minute and three-minute timings.

Learning/Teaching keyboarding in Microsoft Windows enables students to develop superior keyboarding techniques and motivates students to enjoy learning to keyboard. It also enables the teacher, in a classroom environment, to spend more time helping each student. User and Teacher Guides in PDF file format are included on the CD-ROM. Acrobat Reader 5.0 is also included for accessing and printing these files.
