Designed to help your students learn about democratic government and the ways in which they can become actively involved, the Voices in Democracy series highlights several aspects of civic education, ranging from the origins of the U.S. Constitution to the contemporary struggle for equal rights.
Through the course of this series, your students will become motivated to participate in the democratic process by:
Studying exemplary citizens
Participating in school governance
Observing and interviewing active citizens
Volunteering for community service
Engaging in the electoral process
Examining model and simulation activities
